Today, March 26, 2026, another kidney transplant operation was successfully completed at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCPMC) for a 29-year-old patient, which was conducted completely free of charge.

The Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Kadyraliev, visited the center to familiarize himself with the course of the operation and the organization of medical assistance.

The patient who underwent the operation had been on programmed hemodialysis for a year due to chronic glomerulonephritis, which led to loss of kidney function. The donor in this operation was the patient's biological brother.

Since the beginning of 2024, 41 free kidney transplants have been performed at the NCPMC funded by the state. In total, from 2018 to 2026, the number of kidney transplants performed at the center reached 83.

The medical team at the NCPMC regularly receives patients with chronic kidney diseases and actively develops the field of transplantation in the country.

During his visit, the deputy minister also met with a patient who received a kidney transplant 14 years ago. He is currently leading a full life, working, and actively participating in public life.

This case clearly demonstrates that transplantation is not only a complex medical procedure but also a real opportunity for people to live long and quality lives.
