In Almaty, at the base of the 4th Clinical Hospital, a multi-organ donation process took place, as a result of which four people received vital organs, reports Kazinform.

The donor was a man born in 1967, who was diagnosed with brain death. After obtaining consent from his family, the procedure for organ retrieval was organized: heart, liver, and two kidneys.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the transplant teams, the following surgeries were performed:
- the heart was transplanted to a 58-year-old patient at the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases;
- the liver to a 58-year-old patient at the A.N. Syzganov National Scientific Center of Surgery;
- the right kidney to a 19-year-old patient at the A.N. Syzganov National Scientific Center of Surgery;
- the left kidney to a 35-year-old patient at the A.N. Syzganov National Scientific Center of Surgery.

According to information, currently, there are 4,521 patients on the waiting list in the country, including 106 children. In the first ten months of 2025, 272 people were removed from the list due to death, which amounts to almost one patient per day.

Additionally, throughout 2025, only 14 donor operations were performed from deceased donors, during which 60 vital organ transplants were carried out.
