On the night of October 30, Yerzhan Babakumarov, who previously held the position of deputy akim of Almaty, was killed in the capital of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Kazinform agency, citing its sources link.
According to preliminary data, the cause of death was severe injuries sustained as a result of beating. The police have detained a suspect and placed him in a temporary detention facility.
The incident occurred while Babakumarov was in the company of acquaintances, and a conflict that arose led to a fight, during which he sustained fatal injuries.
