In Kyrgyzstan, a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers titled "On Anatomical Donation" has been presented, which is currently being discussed by the public. The Ministry of Health initiated this document with the aim of improving the educational and practical processes in educational and scientific institutions.

Developers emphasize that the decline in the quality of medical care in the country is linked to the deterioration of medical education. The project aims to create educational materials based on donor material, which will allow for practical classes in the anatomical and surgical departments of medical universities.

Unfortunately, no educational model can fully convey the complexity of the human body's structure and its internal organs, especially in the context of pathological changes. The availability of donor organs as visual aids will help students not only absorb theoretical knowledge but also gain practical experience by performing manipulations and surgeries while still in training, unlike the existing practice where this occurs only after graduation on living patients, as noted in the justification report.

The Ministry of Health is confident that this approach will enhance the quality of medical care and reduce the number of medical errors in the future.

Citizens wishing to become anatomical donors must formalize the appropriate will or statement. The new procedure for anatomical donation will define the conditions and method for the voluntary transfer of the body (or its parts) for use in educational and scientific purposes by medical institutions and research organizations.

Additionally, unclaimed bodies, as well as organs amputated or removed during surgeries, may be transferred for educational purposes if they have not been claimed by the patient or their representative within 10 days after the operation. In this case, the consent of the patient is not required.

However, it is worth noting that bodies deceased from infectious diseases such as AIDS, plague, anthrax, viral and hemorrhagic fevers, tularemia, and cholera are not eligible for transfer for educational and scientific purposes.
