Today, February 26, in Bishkek at the National Center for Maternal and Child Health (NCOMCH), another kidney transplant operation was performed free of charge.
Currently, about 200 patients suffering from stage 5 chronic kidney disease are on the waiting list.
According to the Ministry of Health, the transplant was performed for a patient born in 1981, who had been undergoing chronic hemodialysis since 2018. His donor was his biological brother, born in 1978. Both patients are in stable condition and under the supervision of medical specialists.
Kidney transplants at NCOMCH have been conducted since 2018. Since the beginning of this program, 81 operations have been performed, 38 of which were funded by the budget.
The medical center has implemented a methodology for immunological testing, including histocompatibility determination by the HLA system, crossmatching, and calculation of the PRA index, which enhances the safety of the operations and improves long-term treatment outcomes.
NCOMCH specialists are ready to accept new patients for consultations and preparation for possible future transplants.
To schedule a consultation, you can contact the doctors at NCOMCH: Esembaev Bolot Ismailovich — 0778 670 006; Baizakov Mirbek Tursunbekovich — 0550 227 701.
