
According to information from the National Statistical Office published on December 17, the average cost per square meter of new apartments in the capital of Mongolia reached ₮5.03 million (approximately $1412), which is 10.8% higher compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, the price per square meter of secondary housing in Ulaanbaatar in December was ₮5.06 million ($1420), indicating an increase of 13.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Experts attribute this growth to an increased interest in real estate per capita.
Mongolia, being one of the least populated countries in the world, faces a severe housing problem, especially in the capital, where more than half of the country's 3.5 million population resides.
For the young generation of Mongolians, owning a home has become a symbol of stability and dignity. However, a home represents not just a material desire but a fundamental human need. This drives them to seek housing near educational institutions for their children, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for the family.
