
In Istanbul, law enforcement officials found the decapitated body of a woman, a citizen of Uzbekistan, in a trash can. This information was reported by the agency Lenta.ru, citing the Turkish publication Sabah.
According to the report, the body was discovered in the Şişli district by a person collecting paper who stumbled upon a headless figure wrapped in a sheet.
As a result of fingerprint analysis, the deceased was identified as 37-year-old Durdona Hakimova. The police have cordoned off the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy.
Earlier in Turkey, the body of Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov, who was considered missing, was also found. Search operations had been ongoing since the end of summer, but their active phase concluded at the end of October.
