According to the Antara agency, the number of victims of the landslide in Indonesia's West Java province has risen to 25 people. This information was reported by the National Disaster Management Agency of the country.
Previously, 17 fatalities had been reported. Currently, search and rescue operations are ongoing, but 65 people are still considered missing. The search efforts are complicated by frequent interruptions caused by heavy rains, unstable soil, and the risk of further landslides.
The event occurred on January 24 in the West Bandung district when heavy rainfall caused the ground to collapse onto the settlement of Pasir Langu.
