A significant event has occurred in the world of aviation: 16-year-old Byron Waller from Australia has completed a round-the-world flight in a light aircraft, covering 19 countries and flying approximately 45,000 kilometers. This was reported by the source Lenta.ru.
What prompted Byron to embark on such a challenging journey? His flight has become a symbol for youth around the world, proving that dreams can become reality, even if they seem unattainable. At the age of 14, Waller was diagnosed with Crohn's disease—a chronic condition that forced him to spend a lot of time in the hospital. Nevertheless, he did not give up on his dream of becoming a pilot and at 15, he made his first flight around Australia.
We remind you that Byron's journey began on August 9 in Brisbane in a single-engine Sling TSi aircraft. Over the course of two months, he visited 19 countries, crossed oceans and continents, and celebrated his sixteenth birthday while in the air over Fiji. The journey concluded on October 15 when he successfully landed at his home airport. Official ratification of his record is expected, and Waller has become a source of inspiration for many young people, demonstrating that neither age nor difficulties can be obstacles to achievement.
