The Department of Economy and Tourism stated that hotels have been instructed to provide the option of extending stays for those who find themselves in a difficult situation, while maintaining the conditions of the original booking. The government will cover the financial costs associated with this extension.
“This initiative fully aligns with government directives to provide support and assistance to foreign visitors in light of the escalating situation in the Middle East,” the official statement noted.After military actions by the USA and Israel against Iran on February 28, several countries, including Israel, Iran, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, closed their airspace. As a result, airlines were forced to cancel a number of flights, leaving many tourists temporarily stranded abroad.
