U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview published on March 1 that the conflict in Iran could last up to four weeks. "We initially estimated that the operation would take about four weeks, and it really should be completed within that timeframe or even earlier," Trump noted in a conversation with The Daily Mail.

According to the president, the current actions are proceeding according to the planned schedule. He also added that significantly more Iranian commanders have been eliminated than expected, mentioning a figure of "around 48 people."

When asked about the possibility of negotiations with Tehran and the timing of such talks, Trump expressed uncertainty. "They are eager for dialogue, but I said they should have started negotiations last week, not now," he emphasized.

Recall that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel conducted an attack on Iran, to which Tehran responded by launching hundreds of rockets and drones at neighboring countries.
