The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) has returned a plot of land measuring 2,700 square meters located on the territory of the central stadium in the city of Osh. This plot was an integral part of the stadium; however, it was illegally privatized and its intended purpose was changed.
As a result of the conducted inspection, it was found that this plot belongs to social infrastructure facilities, which, according to the presidential decree dated February 16, 1995, No. 37, cannot be sold by either state or private enterprises. These facilities must remain within the framework of the existing usage regulations if they are on the balance sheet of the relevant organizations or have been transferred free of charge.
The SCNS reports that the transfer of this plot into private ownership was carried out in violation of the aforementioned decree. After all necessary procedures were completed, the plot with buildings was returned to state ownership and transferred to the balance of the Osh city administration.
The agency emphasizes that this decision creates more favorable conditions for the development of social infrastructure and improves the urban environment. The SCNS also reminds that all state and municipal property that has been illegally transferred into private hands is subject to return.
