A tragedy occurred in the Sokuluk district: three children drowned, reports the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region.
According to information from the police, on February 2, a report was received at the Sokuluk district police department that three young children had fallen into a canal located in the village of Maiskaya in the Zhany-Pakhtinsky ayil okmotu.
A forensic investigative group immediately went to the scene, where it was established that the bodies of all three children had been retrieved from the water; however, by the time the ambulance arrived, they were already dead.
During the investigation, the identities of the deceased children were established, all of whom were born in 2021: M.N., S.E., and I.M.
It was found that the children often played together, as their families live nearby and are related. The canal where the tragedy occurred is located approximately 300 meters from their homes.
It was also established that this canal was used for irrigating agricultural land and had no fencing, and its edges were covered with ice. Until 2:00 PM, no one noticed the children were missing. One of the boys playing with them — M.I., who does not speak, returned to his mother and tried to explain what had happened. Not understanding him, the woman followed him and, approaching the canal, discovered the drowned children, after which she began to call for help.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue for forensic examinations. The investigation is ongoing, and based on its results, a procedural decision will be made in accordance with current legislation.
