
According to information received from the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, an incident occurred at the 'Kashkulak' ski resort involving a young skier.
According to the report, on February 8, 2026, at 21:40, the Alamedin District Internal Affairs Department received a notification that a girl had fallen into a gorge while skiing in the village of Baytik.
The investigation established that T.A., born in 2006, had come to the resort with friends to engage in skiing. After obtaining ski passes, the group began skiing, during which T.A., having gained speed, broke through the rope barrier set at the edge of the cliff and fell into the gorge.
As a result of the fall, the girl sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the intensive care unit of the trauma department of the National Hospital in Bishkek. A preliminary medical examination confirmed the presence of fractures in both legs, one arm, and the spine.
At the moment, a forensic medical examination has been appointed, and investigative actions are ongoing. Appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic based on the results of the investigation.
