At the 'Kashka-Kulak' ski base, a girl fell into a gorge while skiing

According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region, an incident occurred at the 'Kashka-Kulak' ski base involving a girl who was skiing.

On the night of February 8, 2026, at around 21:40, the duty officer of the Alamedin District Department of Internal Affairs received a report that a girl had fallen into a gorge at the ski base in the village of Baytik.

According to preliminary investigation data, on February 8, 2026, a girl named T.A., born in 2006, arrived at the base with friends to engage in skiing. After obtaining ski passes, they began skiing, and during the descent, T.A., having gained speed, broke through the rope barrier set at the edge of the cliff, which led to her falling into the gorge.

As a result of the fall, the girl sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the intensive care unit of the trauma department of the National Hospital in Bishkek. Doctors diagnosed her with fractures of both legs, one arm, and the spine.

In connection with the incident, a forensic medical examination has been appointed. An investigation is underway, and a decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
