In the Chuy region, a traffic accident occurred, resulting in the deaths of two people. This was reported by the Traffic Safety Department (UOBDD) of the region.
According to law enforcement agencies, the incident happened on March 1 at around 16:30 on the 100th kilometer of the Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart bypass road. The driver of a Hyundai Sonata LF, traveling westward, attempted to overtake a Nissan Serena and, crossing into the oncoming lane, collided with an Audi C4.
As a result of this collision, a 68-year-old passenger of the Audi C4 died at the scene. His 75-year-old driver also did not survive to reach the hospital and died on the way to the medical facility. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai Sonata were hospitalized in the territorial hospital of the Kemin district.
