A man shot himself in a car in Bishkek

On March 13, a tragic event occurred in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek: a man committed suicide by shooting himself in a car near a banquet hall on Kozhomberdieva Street.

According to information provided by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department, a dead man was found in the cabin of a GAC car, identified as K.K., born in 1981. His body had a gunshot wound.

At the scene, investigators discovered a smoothbore shotgun "Izh-18" caliber 12 mm, 13 cartridges, a shell casing, two mobile phones (iPhone-15 and Redmi), as well as a suicide note and other physical evidence.

According to preliminary results of the forensic examination, gunshot wounds were found on the victim's chest. An additional forensic examination has been appointed to more accurately determine the nature and extent of the injuries sustained.

Preliminary data suggest that the man may have come to such a decision due to debt obligations, as noted by the police.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 128, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. Investigative actions are currently ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
