
A woman suspected of murdering her common-law husband has been detained in the Chui region, as reported by the regional police department.
The incident occurred on March 15 at around 06:47. The police station in the city of Tokmok received a report that a man with a stab wound had been found in one of the apartments in the 3rd microdistrict.
The arriving investigative team established that a dead man, born in 1980, named M.B., was found in the apartment, seated with a stab wound to the chest.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the stab wound was inflicted by the deceased's common-law wife, born in 1974, named K.Z. According to preliminary data, a quarrel between them escalated into a conflict, during which the woman stabbed the man in the chest with a kitchen knife, resulting in his death at the scene.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue in the city of Tokmok, and the knife was seized from the crime scene. Necessary forensic examinations have also been appointed.
In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the detained woman has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
