The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan reported two underground tremors that occurred in the republic and border areas on Sunday, March 22.
Earthquakes in Jalal-Abad Region
The first event was recorded at 09:18 local time with a magnitude of 3 at the epicenter.
The epicenter was located at the following points:
- 6 km west of the village of Toskoool;
- 14 km southeast of the city of Massy;
- 16 km southeast of the city of Mailuu-Suu.
- village of Toskoool — 3 points;
- cities of Mailuu-Suu and Massy — 2.5 points;
- city of Kochkor-Ata — 2 points.
The epicenter was 28 km southwest of the city of Razzakov, 18-20 km from the villages of Ak-Suu and Kommun.
In the villages of Ak-Suu and Kommun, the seismic activity was felt at a level of 3 points.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction as a result of these tremors.
