


In the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, the construction of the small hydroelectric power station "Papan," designed for a capacity of 27 MW, is actively underway.
According to information from the Ministry of Energy, several key stages of work have been completed to date:
- an 8-kilometer temporary road has been built leading to the construction site;
- a plot of land has been allocated for the construction of a water intake in the Papan reservoir;
- the procedure for land allocation and transformation for the creation of a production hub, which includes the HPP building and an open distribution device at 110 kV, is in progress;
- technical conditions for the use of electricity during construction have been developed and approved;
- issues regarding land allocation for the installation of supports for the overhead power line from the HPP to the "Uzlovaya – Besh-Moynok" line are being worked on.
It should be noted that the ceremonial laying of the capsule for the Papan HPP took place on October 5, 2024.
