In Kyrgyzstan, there has been an increase in the incidence of influenza and ARVI. In an interview on "Birinchi Radio," family doctor of the Central Medical Center No. 1, Aziza Aslanova, urged the population to adhere to preventive measures.

She noted: "After the New Year holidays, the cold weather began, and the incidence started to rise. The number of consultations has increased. We advise those who have not yet fallen ill to avoid crowded places unless absolutely necessary. Viruses spread very quickly and easily through the air, and infection can occur simply by being in the same room with an infected person."

The doctor added that if it is necessary to visit public places, one should wear a mask properly: changing it every two to three hours and washing hands afterward. The mask should fit snugly against the face.

Aslanova also emphasized that parents should explain to children the importance of personal hygiene, particularly washing hands after being outside. Clothing should be appropriate for the weather conditions, as she noted.

The specialist reminded about the necessity of regular ventilation of premises, conducting wet cleaning, proper nutrition, and maintaining physical activity to prevent viral diseases.
