According to their information, the current situation in the Issyk-Kul region remains stable. Since the beginning of 2025, 24,720 cases of illness have been recorded, while during the same period in 2024, there were 20,494 cases registered. Thus, the incidence has increased by 1.2 times compared to last year, with the main increase observed in January and February.
In the 46th week of 2025 (from November 8 to 15), 762 cases of flu were registered in the region, among which 73 people were hospitalized, including 60 children under the age of 4. Currently, the largest number of cases involves children under 4 years old (225 cases) and children aged 5 to 14 years (172 cases).
For preventive measures among at-risk groups, 4,500 doses of the "Grippol" vaccine have been allocated to the Issyk-Kul region, and to date, 99.9% of this amount has already been vaccinated.
"According to the order of the Ministry of Health dated October 3, to prevent the spread of acute respiratory viral infections in the Issyk-Kul region, preventive measures have been organized in educational institutions such as schools, kindergartens, and universities. Sanitary recommendations for medical institutions have also been distributed. Quarantine measures have been introduced in hospitals, including mandatory mask-wearing, filtration, and the installation of sanitizers. Morning temperature checks and monitoring are being conducted in schools and kindergartens," the center noted.
Among the recommended measures for the prevention of flu and ARVI:
- Wash hands regularly.
- Avoid touching the face, eyes, and nose with unwashed hands.
- Use masks.
- Wear a mask in crowded places and when in contact with sick individuals.
- Change the mask every 2–3 hours.
- Strengthen the immune system.
- Maintain a balanced diet, including more fruits and vegetables.
- Ventilate rooms 2–3 times a day for 10–15 minutes.
- Avoid close contact with sick individuals.
- Do not stay in the same room with sick individuals for long periods.
- If someone is sick in the house, use separate dishes and towels for them.
- Maintain general hygiene.
- When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow.
- Immediately dispose of used tissues.
- Get vaccinated.
- Seasonal vaccination against the flu is recommended, especially for children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
