The Incidence of ARVI and Influenza in Kyrgyzstan Continues to Rise

From November 10 to 16, Kyrgyzstan registered 7,966 cases of ARVI and influenza. This information was presented by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, according to data provided by 24.kg.

Experts noted that this is a 17.3% increase compared to the previous week.

Of the total number of cases, 65.5% are children under 14 years old, which corresponds to 5.2 thousand cases. Among them, 8.5% were hospitalized, amounting to 679 cases.
The highest levels of morbidity are observed in Bishkek and Osh, as well as in the Naryn, Issyk-Kul, and Chui regions, where the rates exceed the national average.

In the capital, Osh, and Tokmok, monitoring continues for severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses.

According to samples collected in the previous week, 17 cases of influenza were detected in Bishkek and the southern capital, of which 16 cases are influenza A/H3N2 and 1 case is influenza B.
Among acute respiratory viral infections, there is a predominance of adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, parainfluenza, and other viruses.
