
According to the review, the incidence rate was 8.9 per 100,000 population, while in 2023 it reached 12.2 per 100,000.
The number of newly diagnosed cases last year decreased to 646, compared to 865 in 2023.
However, in the Batken region, there was an increase of 4.3 percent, unlike other regions where a decrease in incidence is observed in all cases.

In 2023, the highest alcohol dependence was registered in those regions where independent psycho-narcological centers operated.
Additionally, the report indicates a slight increase in cases of drug dependence in 2024: the number of newly identified patients rose to 146, compared to 114 in 2023. Overall, the detection rate of drug dependence remains low across the country.
Medical professionals note that adolescents are less likely to seek help from narcologists, which is due to the existing stigma.
