The number of people with ARVI and influenza in Kyrgyzstan is increasing.

From November 10 to 16, Kyrgyzstan registered 7,966 cases of ARVI and influenza. This represents an increase of 17.3% compared to the previous week, according to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Health based on data from the Department of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Among all the patients, 65.5% are children under 14 years old, which accounts for 5,216 cases. Of the total number of patients, 8.5% were hospitalized, corresponding to 679 cases.

Monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) continues in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok. In the selected samples this week, 17 cases of influenza were detected (16 cases of type A/H3N2 and 1 case of type B) in Osh and Bishkek. The circulation of acute respiratory viral infections is also being recorded, with adenoviruses predominating (31.3% of 10 samples), rhinoviruses (28.1% of 9 samples), parainfluenza types I-IV (18.7% of 6 samples), and other viruses (21.9% of 7 samples).
