In Kyrgyzstan, 7,966 cases of ARVI and influenza have been registered

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic has presented data on the current epidemiological situation regarding ARVI and influenza.

As of November 16, the country has recorded 7,966 cases, which is 17.3% more compared to the previous week. Of the total number of cases, 65.5% are children under 14 years old, corresponding to 5,216 cases. Hospitalization was required for 679 patients.

Continuous epidemiological surveillance is being conducted for severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses in cities such as Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok.

During the 46th week, 17 cases of influenza were detected in the selected samples, of which 16 belong to the A/H3N2 strain and 1 case of influenza B was registered in Bishkek and Osh.

Monitoring of school attendance is also being carried out throughout the republic. Last week, in Bishkek, the absenteeism rate among students due to ARVI was 3.2%, which corresponds to the seasonal norm. The epidemiological situation remains stable, and monitoring continues.
