
From January 27 to 29, avalanches are forecasted in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan due to expected precipitation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
According to the agency's information, avalanches are likely to occur on sections of the Bishkek-Osh road (198-255 km, Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge) and the Karakol-Enilchek road (45-90 km, Chon-Ashuu pass), as well as the formation of snow drifts, ice crusts, and icy conditions.
In this regard, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters when passing through dangerous areas where avalanches may occur.
