A new stage in the approach to investments has begun in Kyrgyzstan, where the main focus is not on quantity, but on quality. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to France, Sadik Sher-Niyaz, during a podcast with the Kabar agency.
According to him, previously the country aimed to attract any investments without delving into their essence and potential consequences for the economy.
“Earlier, we rejoiced at every investment and, figuratively speaking, sought to please investors by welcoming them with boorsoks and butter. Today, however, with stability and the rule of law established in the country, the flow of investors has increased, and we have begun to focus on assessing the quality of incoming investments,” he noted.According to Sadik Sher-Niyaz, the new approach involves selecting projects that can bring real benefits to the economy, contributing to sustainable development and aligning with the interests of Kyrgyzstan.
