Today, a meeting took place at the Bishkek mayor's office between Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
According to the press service of the mayor's office, the key topics of discussion included joint projects, such as the development of heating and water supply systems, as well as the capital's participation in the EBRD initiative "Green Cities."
The mayor spoke about significant projects being implemented in Bishkek. Among them are the creation of an eco-technological plant and programs for greening and improving air quality. In particular, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees in the city by 2025, and about 50,000 seedlings in 2026.
EBRD representatives, in turn, expressed their readiness to support the implementation of projects included in the general development plan for Bishkek until 2050.
"We thank you for your support. You accompany projects at all stages — from initial preparation to completion. We are open to further cooperation and hope that we can continue to work in this direction," noted Aibek Junushaliev.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue joint work on projects.
