





On February 5, 2026, a working meeting was held in Bishkek to discuss cooperation between local authorities and non-governmental organizations in supporting people with disabilities.
The event was organized by the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek City Hall with the aim of improving coordination and collaboration to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Among the participants were Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, Director of the Department of Social Development Aizada Junusova, her deputy Larisa Gubina, as well as representatives from over 25 NGOs, including the Public Organization "KOS and KOG," the Foundation "Hear Me," the Foundation "Together for Health," the Charitable Foundation "Zhanirtuu," the Center for Hearing and Speech Development, the Public Organization "Ardi," the Republican Independent Association of Women with Disabilities, and others.
Ermek Jusupov, head of the social department of the Public Organization "KOS and KOG," presented an initiative for the digitization of lists of people with disabilities, aimed at creating a unified database to improve social services. Participants discussed the project, proposed ideas, and outlined paths for further cooperation.
During the meeting, there was an open exchange of opinions and informal interaction. Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between government structures and NGOs, as well as working together on updating data about people with disabilities and developing effective support mechanisms.
