As a result of the increasing targeted social support, the number of citizens receiving state benefits in Kyrgyzstan has decreased by almost 195.9 thousand people. This information was announced at a meeting of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic by the First Deputy Minister Kamchybek Dosmatov.
Dosmatov emphasized that the ministry is actively working on implementing mechanisms for the targeted distribution of state assistance and providing support to the most disadvantaged segments of the population.
He also reported that since 2021, the number of benefit recipients has decreased from 359.5 thousand to 163.6 thousand in 2025.
In 2025, important decisions were made regarding social payments. In particular, monthly cash compensations for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster, participants in military operations abroad, and other categories of citizens were increased. These measures were formalized by the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 132 dated April 18, 2025.
Additionally, a new monthly allowance for the third and subsequent children under three years old has been introduced for residents of high-altitude, remote, and border areas with special conditions, regardless of the family's socio-economic status. Applications for this allowance will start being accepted on January 12, 2026, and payments will begin on February 1, 2026, amounting to 3,000 soms.
Furthermore, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic introduced a one-time payment "Bala Bereke" for mothers of many children living in high-altitude and remote regions. The amount of this assistance varies depending on the number of children:
for the birth of the fourth child — 100,000 soms;
for the seventh child — 1 million soms;
for the tenth and each subsequent child — 2 million soms.
These new initiatives are aimed at supporting families living in hard-to-reach areas and improving the demographic situation in the country.
