The monthly social benefit is intended for citizens who cannot rely on pension support and are unable to work. Such categories include:
- children with disabilities up to 18 years old,
- children who have lost one parent,
- children who have lost both parents,
- persons with disabilities from childhood,
- persons with disabilities due to general illness,
- hero mothers,
- elderly citizens.
The amount of the benefit varies depending on the category of recipients and ranges from 2000 to 8000 soms. On average, across the republic, the monthly benefit amount is 6344.7 soms. As of November 1, 2025, 7.2 million soms have been allocated for benefit payments.
The Ministry also noted that in accordance with current legislation, the amounts of state benefits for residents of settlements where regional coefficients are applied are calculated taking these coefficients into account in relation to wages and other social payments.
