According to data provided by Saadatkul Mukambetova, a leading specialist at the Employment Assistance Solutions Department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, the total population of Kyrgyzstan is 7 million 373 thousand people. Of these, 59 thousand 600 citizens are registered as unemployed.
Among them, 40 thousand 968 people have all the necessary documents and are officially recognized as unemployed. Mukambetova noted that active measures are being taken to assist this group of the population in finding employment.
“Both the unemployed and employers have the right to receive information about the current employment programs provided by law. We offer consultations, which are also available at regional employment services. Citizens can undergo vocational training, which lasts from one to three months depending on the chosen profession. These include courses in hairdressing, cooking, cosmetology, makeup, manicure, and many other specialties,” she added.
In addition, Mukambetova reported that work is also being done with employers.
