According to information from the Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the first nine months of 2025, 711 ethnic Kyrgyz received the status of qayrilman.

The Ministry emphasizes that since the independence of Kyrgyzstan, more than 70,000 ethnic Kyrgyz have resettled in the country, of which approximately 65,000 have already become citizens.

The process of obtaining the qayrilman status is carried out by a special interdepartmental commission, which includes representatives from various state bodies, such as the State Committee for National Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, Social Welfare and Migration, as well as the Department of Population Registration of the Ministry of Digital Development. The review of applications takes about three months.

During the reporting period, the qayrilman status was granted to ethnic Kyrgyz arriving from the following countries: 54 people from Uzbekistan, 629 people from Tajikistan, 12 people from the People's Republic of China, 7 people from the Russian Federation, 8 people from Afghanistan, and 1 person from other countries.

The issued qayrilman certificate is valid for three years, during which its holders must apply for citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic. Holders of the qayrilman status have access to social benefits, medical assistance, education, and employment opportunities within Kyrgyzstan.
