The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds of the importance of strict adherence to legislation when involving minors in photo and video shoots. This applies to both election events and campaigning activities.
According to current legislation, the involvement of minors in photo and video shoots is only possible with the written consent of their legal representatives, such as parents or guardians.
This requirement is aimed at protecting both the personal and property rights of children, preventing the use of their image for political, commercial, or other purposes without the necessary permission. With the start of election campaigning on November 10 of this year, the Ministry emphasizes to candidates, political parties, media, and other organizations engaged in campaigning activities the necessity of complying with norms that protect children's rights.
Participation of minors in campaign materials and the use of their images is only possible with the official consent of legal representatives and within the framework of legal and ethical norms. Ignoring these requirements may lead to legal liability in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration calls on all participants in socio-political events to consider the rights and interests of children, ensuring their protection as a priority.
