On October 23, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 692, which approved the list of settlements located in high-altitude zones. This decision was the result of long-term work by the Interagency Commission, which was engaged in the inventory of such settlements.
Currently, the Cabinet of Ministers is working on updating Resolution No. 377 of June 25, 1997, to ensure payments related to salary supplements and other social benefits for residents of new settlements in high-altitude conditions.
Until changes are made, the Ministry of Labor advises relying on the existing government resolution "On Providing State Support to Persons Living and Working in High-Altitude and Remote Areas of the Kyrgyz Republic" dated June 25, 1997, No. 377. This pertains to the calculation of district coefficient supplements to salaries and social payments for citizens working and residing in high-altitude and hard-to-reach areas.
