Russia will provide social and medical support to Kyrgyz migrants.

In the coming years, citizens of Kyrgyzstan, which recently joined the EAEU, who wish to earn money in Russia, will stop being labor migrants without rights and with numerous obligations. They will receive equal rights with Russians in the labor market, as well as all social guarantees and access to medical services. This was stated by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic, Andrey Krutko, at his press conference.

- The main task now is the social and medical support of migrants. Our countries need to develop a bilateral agreement on this issue - this is our "homework." We will send proposals to Moscow, where they will be considered accordingly. It is currently difficult to predict how long it will take to create this document - several months, a year, or two years - but this task has already been set before us. Kyrgyz workers are no longer labor migrants, but rather workers - they must have equal rights with the working population of Russia. With the exception of certain points. Pension provision occurs at the request of the worker - their income is recorded at their request and statement. Social insurance and pension insurance also differ - work is currently underway in this direction by both state and private companies. Social insurance and medical services are a top priority so that Kyrgyz citizens who come to work in Russia can access medical services and have their rights protected, - concluded the ambassador.

Work is also being done on so-called "blacklists." Several tens of thousands of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who violated migration requirements or committed minor offenses on the territory of the Russian Federation have already regained the right to enter the country.
