According to the law "On the Protection of Bank Deposits," the agency directs the free funds of the fund into investments in securities issued by the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank. This allows for income generation, which in turn increases the capacity for compensation payments and contributes to the development of the agency itself.
As of November 1, 2025, 8.28 percent of the total portfolio consisted of investments in the notes of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, while 91.72 percent were investments in government treasury bills (GTB) and government treasury bonds (GTB).
Investment Income
In the first 10 months of 2025, the income from the fund's investments in government securities (GS) amounted to 837.6 million soms. Compared to the same period in 2024, this figure increased by 162.3 million soms, which is 24 percent.
The increase in income is associated with the transition from short-term to long-term GS and the growth of the overall investment portfolio.
