According to the Main Department of Social Insurance of Mongolia, the income of the Social Insurance Fund for the first nine months of this year reached ₮4.85 trillion, which is 15.9% or ₮666.4 billion more than in the same period of 2024.
The National Statistical Office of Mongolia noted that the main factor for growth was the increased revenue from the Pension Insurance Fund, which grew by 14.2% (₮515.7 billion), as well as the income from the Benefit Insurance Fund, which increased by 24.4% (₮66.9 billion).
At the same time, the expenses of the Social Insurance Fund for the specified period amounted to ₮4.38 trillion, which is 16.5% or ₮620 billion more than in the same period last year. The increase in expenses occurred due to the growth of the Pension Insurance Fund's costs by 15.7% (₮540 billion) and the Benefit Insurance Fund by 20.8% (₮37.8 billion).
During the first nine months of 2025, the Pension Insurance Fund made payments totaling ₮4.02 trillion for 520,400 pensioners, which is 2.5% (12,600 people) more than the previous year. The total amount of pension payments increased by 15.6% (₮541.5 billion). The Benefit Insurance Fund paid ₮359.9 billion to 145,900 recipients, increasing the number of recipients by 7% (9,600 people) and the total amount of payments by 26.8% (₮76.1 billion).
In the first nine months of 2025, social security services were provided to 2.4 million people for a total of ₮1.83 trillion. Compared to the same period in 2024, the total number of recipients decreased by 4% (101,400 people), while total payments for pensions and benefits increased by 5.9% (₮101.1 billion).
