As of November 1 of this year, 108.4 thousand citizens in Kyrgyzstan receive monthly social benefits.
The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration reported that this is a 2% decrease compared to the same period last year, when there were 108.7 thousand recipients.
Social benefits are intended for citizens who cannot receive a pension and are unable to work. Such categories include children with disabilities up to 18 years old, children left without one or both parents, individuals with disabilities from childhood, heroic mothers, and elderly people.
The amount of the benefit varies depending on the recipient's category and ranges from 2,000 to 8,000 soms.
The average benefit amount as of today is 6,344.7 soms. A total of 7.2 million soms has been allocated for benefit payments as of November 1.
