More than 8 million soms allocated to low-income households in Bishkek for purchasing coal

In Bishkek, as part of the preparation for the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026, financial assistance has been provided for low-income families to purchase coal. This was reported by Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, the deputy mayor, at a meeting of the permanent commission of the city council dedicated to social issues.

By the beginning of winter, more than 8.6 million soms have been allocated, which will support 1,427 needy families and two organizations. All funds have already been transferred from the budget.

It was previously reported that the amount of monetary compensation for the purchase of coal is 6,000 soms. Additional payments ranging from 700 to 900 soms have been provided for the delivery of fuel for single pensioners and citizens in need of care.
