The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, announced the need to stockpile 3,174,792 tons of coal to prepare the population and economic sectors for the autumn-winter season of 2025–2026. Of this amount, 309,415 tons are required for budgetary organizations, of which 203.54 thousand tons have been secured so far, which constitutes 89% of the plan's fulfillment for the first 11 months of the current year.
Regarding the needs of the population, 1,465,377 tons of coal are required, and to date, 994.69 thousand tons have been secured, which corresponds to 96.6% of the plan's fulfillment. The main focus has been on coal supplies from the Karakete deposit to social coal bases and institutions across the country.
Currently, there are 720 coal bases operating in the republic, of which 144 are social and organized by the enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur".
For the Bishkek CHPP, 1,400.0 thousand tons of coal are needed, and work to ensure full supply is ongoing. As of November 20, according to the storage capacity at the CHPP, there are 280 thousand tons of coal and 4.2 thousand tons of fuel oil available. Coal reserves at this time exceed last year's level, when there were 242 thousand tons on this date.
As for the CHPP in the city of Osh, it requires 23.0 thousand tons of fuel oil, of which 20.8 thousand tons have been secured to date. Last year, this figure was 12.9 thousand tons.
The annual consumption of natural gas in the republic is 517.0 million m³. Gasification has been successfully completed this year. In 2025, 100 km of gas pipelines were laid, and 13,530 new consumers were connected.
By the end of the year, it is planned to supply natural gas to the residential area "Ak-Bosogo" in Bishkek and to the villages of Novopokrovka and Voenno-Antonovka in the Chui region. Next year, gasification of new residential areas "Ene-Sai", "Archa-Beshik", 69 hectares in Bishkek, and the village of Selektsionnoe in the Chui region is scheduled. To ensure gas supply to the population, preferential lending is also planned for residents of Bishkek and the Chui region.
