In anticipation of the heating season 2025–2026, the city authorities plan to stockpile 240.2 thousand tons of coal, as reported by the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex of the Bishkek City Administration.
The coal stockpiling process began in July 2025 and will continue until the end of the current year. As of November 11, 2025, 159.43 thousand tons had been stockpiled, which is 66.3% of the planned volume.
Currently, the coal reserves are distributed as follows:
- at fuel bases — 3,741 tons;
- at stationary sales points — 195 tons;
- at the warehouses of OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur" — 350 tons.
Coal prices in Bishkek range from 5,800 to 8,000 soms per ton, depending on the brand and place of origin.
Currently, there are 10 fuel bases and several stationary points in the capital where residents can purchase coal.
