“Although the landfill in Novopavlovka is closed, another area is now turning into a dump. Every day I receive complaints and videos from residents. Farmers' lands are becoming dumping grounds,” he noted.
Abyshyev also expressed concern about the lack of information regarding the work of the municipal inspection and the installation of surveillance cameras. “I haven't heard of anyone being fined. Both the banks of the Big Chuy Canal and the farmers' lands are being polluted,” he added.
In response, the deputy director of “Tazalyk,” Baarkan Asanbaeva, noted that four surveillance cameras had been installed in the area for monitoring purposes.
The deputy emphasized that the farmers' work ends in November, and they fear that in their absence, the plots may become landfills.
The deputy head of the Lenin district for housing and communal services, construction, and transport, Joomart Toktosunov, reported that a decision had previously been made to close the sanitary landfill located below the residential area of Tynchtyk in Novopavlovka. The akimat, together with the municipal enterprise “Tazalyk,” carried out work to install fences and close off the area. Explanatory work is also being conducted among the residents.
“But unfortunately, at night, people continue to throw out garbage. On this issue, the akimat, together with the municipal inspection, is strengthening control,” Toktosunov explained.
Regarding the installation of surveillance cameras, a representative of the akimat reported that negotiations with the municipal enterprise “Tazalyk” were scheduled for that day.
