In the Batken district, the installation of video cameras has begun in educational institutions of border villages, aimed at ensuring the safety of children and preventing offenses. This was reported by the press service of the local law enforcement agencies.
The initiative to install the cameras belongs to the local police and has received support from the authorities.
Since November 2025, video surveillance has started to be implemented in educational institutions of the Samarkand rural district, including the Ravat secondary school, as well as schools named after Turgunbai Sadikov, Murat Salikhov, and Alykul Osmonov, and the primary school in the village of Orto-Say.

A total of 10 cameras have been installed — one large and one small for each school. In the future, similar equipment is planned to be installed in kindergartens as well.
Police representatives emphasized that the implementation of video surveillance will significantly enhance the safety level of students and help prevent possible incidents.
