Farmers in the Batken region voluntarily transferred 8.5 hectares of land to the state

In the 1990s, the plots were unlawfully transferred to private ownership.

In the Batken region, farmers have agreed to return 8.5 hectares of land to the state. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

According to law enforcement agencies, this return became possible due to the implementation of state policy aimed at reclaiming lands that were illegally privatized.

As a result, plots of 1.5 hectares in Batken and 5 hectares in the village of Kyshtut, previously privatized by the head of the "Bolot" farm, were returned to the state. A 2-hectare plot located near the "Kyzyl-Bel-automobile" checkpoint was also returned. According to GKNB information, these lands were unlawfully privatized in the 1990s.

- In 1994-1995, land plots for agricultural purposes were allocated to the "Bolot" farm, established during this period, in the Batken region and Batken, which were subsequently unlawfully privatized by its leader and partially sold off.

- In 1988, land plots for agricultural needs were also allocated to the "Agropromenergo" enterprise. In 1996, this enterprise was transformed into the LLC "Batkenayilenergo," and from 2009 to 2022, the lands were unlawfully privatized by the director and repurposed for commercial use.
