In Batken, land plots with a total area of 1.5 hectares located in the city, as well as 5 hectares in the village of Kyshtut in the Batken district, have been returned to state ownership. These plots were previously privatized by the head of the "Bolot" farm. According to the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), a plot of land measuring 2 hectares located near the "Kyzyl-Bel-automobile" checkpoint has also been returned to state ownership.
Additional information:
- In 1994-1995, land plots were allocated to the "Bolot" farm, established at that time, for agricultural needs in the Batken district and the city of Batken, which were subsequently unlawfully privatized by the management of the farm and partially sold.
- Additionally, in 1988, land was allocated to the "Agropromenergo" enterprise for agriculture. Later, in 1996, it was transformed into the LLC "Batkenayilenergo," and from 2009 to 2022, the land was unlawfully privatized by the director and used for commercial purposes.
