According to preliminary calculations by the Ministry of Labor, 11,000 newborns are expected in mountainous areas in 2026.Additionally, starting January 1, a monthly benefit "Biyik tooluu aymaktyn zhashoochularina komok" ("Assistance to Residents of Mountainous Areas") is assigned for families with children under three years old living in remote and hard-to-reach areas, as well as in certain border regions with special conditions. It amounts to 3,000 soms for each child under three years old.
For example, if a family has three children and the youngest is 2.5 years old, they can receive the benefit for six months. Payments for January will be made in February, and the children must live with their parents to be eligible for the benefit.
Payments for the following benefits will also continue:
- "Uiy-bologo komok" - for low-income families with children under 16 years old - 1,200 soms (taking into account the coefficient for mountainous areas, currently, 45,000 families or 163,000 children receive this benefit);
- "Balaga suyunchu" - a one-time benefit of 4,000 soms upon the birth of a child;
- Social benefits for citizens not entitled to a pension - from 2,000 to 8,000 soms;
