Starting from January 1, 2026, a new monthly allowance will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan for families living in hard-to-reach and high-altitude areas. This information was announced by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The allowance, named "Assistance to Residents of High-Altitude Areas" ("Бийик тоолуу аймактардын жашоочуларына көмөк"), will be provided to families residing in high-altitude and remote settlements, as well as in certain border zones with special status. Payments will be made from the moment of birth of the third child and each subsequent child until they reach the age of three.

The amount of the allowance will be 3000 soms per month. These payments will not depend on the socio-economic status of the family and will not take into account the regional coefficient.
Applications for the allowance will begin to be accepted in January, with the first payments scheduled for February 1, 2026.
To apply for the allowance, it is necessary to submit an application to the local social security office.

The Ministry of Labor noted that training for employees of territorial administrations in the Naryn, Talas, Issyk-Kul, and Chui regions has taken place. As part of the training, a new module of the Unified Social Security System was presented, and the procedure for granting the allowance was explained.

It is worth noting that amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On State Allowances in the Kyrgyz Republic" were made on December 6, 2024.
