According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, as of November 1, 2023, 108.4 thousand people in Kyrgyzstan receive monthly social benefits. This is a decrease of 0.2% compared to the same period in 2022, when the number of recipients was 108.7 thousand.
Social benefits are intended for citizens who are not entitled to pension provision and are unable to work. This includes children with disabilities under 18 years old, children who are orphaned, as well as persons with disabilities, heroic mothers, and elderly citizens.
The amount of monthly benefits varies depending on the category of recipients and ranges from 2,000 to 8,000 soms.
On average, across the republic, the amount of benefits per person currently equals 6,344.7 soms. As of November 1, 2023, 7.2 million soms were allocated for benefit payments.
